Serving as PCCA’s CEO since April 2025, Gus joined PCCA in September 2002, and has contributed extensively to the organization’s scientific, technical and strategic pursuits — most recently as the company’s Chief Scientific Officer. Beyond his core responsibilities, Gus actively participates in legislative, regulatory and public affairs initiatives.

A dedicated team member at PCCA since 2006, Erin has held several key positions including Territory Manager, Member Development Specialist, CPMS Sales and Marketing Consultant, Regional Sales Manager, Director of Outside Sales, and most recently, Director of Member Engagement. Prior to PCCA, Erin served as General Manager for a multi-location independent pharmacy in Northern California.

Katie Albers, CPhT, FAPC
Impact Compounding
Katie is a part-owner, Operations Manager and Compounding Technician at Impact Compounding in Tipp City, Ohio, where she focuses on prescription compounding, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, pharmacy operations, marketing and provider relations. She has been featured on PCCA’s Tech Talk Podcast and was honored as PCCA’s 2025 USA Compounding Technician of the Year.

Daniel Banov, RPh, MS
PCCA
The leader of our innovations in base technology, Daniel joined PCCA in 2011 and is currently vice president of research and development. He has more than 20 years of hands-on experience in preformulation/formulation/reformulation of a variety of dosage forms, specializing in pharmaceutical solids, liquids and semisolids. He has worked extensively on the development of novel techniques for skin-permeation enhancement.

Matt Brensel, PharmD
ScriptWorks Pharmacy
As a third-generation compounding pharmacist, Matt is Vice President of ScriptWorks Pharmacy in Walnut Creek, California. He enjoys the opportunity to merge his passion for pharmacy and veterinary medicine by assisting local veterinarians with some of their most difficult infectious disease cases. Matt received PCCA’s George Roentsch New Innovator Award in 2025.

Scott Brunner, CAE
Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding
Scott has served as CEO of the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding (APC) since 2019. APC is the voice for pharmacy compounding, representing compounding pharmacists and technicians in both 503A and 503B settings, as well as prescribers, educators, researchers and suppliers. Formerly, he was Senior Vice President Communications and External Relations for the National Community Pharmacists Association.

Easton Bryant, PharmD

Easton Bryant is a nationally recognized pharmacist, educator and entrepreneur. He is the owner of North Century Pharmacy, a rapidly scaling e-commerce and compounding pharmacy brand known for its science-backed supplement line and straight-talking educational content. With a deep respect for both clinical science and functional health, he’s on a mission to help people feel actually better without the fluff, confusion, or false promises. He also owns and operates The Rx Grid, a collaborative that empowers pharmacists to break free from the traditional mold and build profitable, purpose-driven practices in functional-based care.

Deborah Clark, RPh, FACVP
PCCA
Deborah became a PCCA clinical compounding pharmacist in 2009. Her areas of interest include veterinary compounding, hormone replacement, pain/wound care, pediatrics and dermatology. She frequently speaks at PCCA symposiums and is a Fellow of the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists. Deborah is a UNC Chapel Hill pharmacy graduate and is licensed in North Carolina.

Sebastian Denison, RPh

Sebastian joined PCCA as a clinical compounding pharmacist in 2011, having practiced nonsterile compounding for 11 years in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He works with both the U.S. and Canadian education teams, training pharmacists, technicians and students. Sebastian helps community pharmacies and health systems to achieve regulatory compliance and implement best practices. He has collaborated on projects with the LDN Research Trust and been a guest on the LDN Radio Show, thanks to his interest in therapeutic applications for low-dose naltrexone.

Mark Gonzalez, PharmD
PCCA
Mark is known for sharing with PCCA members his clever and compelling strategies for connecting with practitioners and patients. He’s also a frequent speaker on topics such as HRT, dermatology and veterinary compounding. While Mark started full-time with PCCA as a Clinical Compounding Pharmacist in 2017, that was after he had concurrently worked for PCCA as a contract consultant for 17 years and operated his own pharmacy in Yorba Linda, California for 18 years. Mark has also worked with facilities in Haiti, India and Cuba to help introduce compounding and increase patient access to important pharmaceutical and compounding options.

Isha Gupta, PharmD, MBA

Isha’s pharmacy in Long Island, New York, operates on the idea that modern innovation and personalized medicine should work hand-in-hand to meet each person’s unique health needs. Focused on patient education, she strives to empower patients to take control of their health through customized solutions. Isha received PCCA’s George Roentsch New Innovator Award in 2024.

Lizzie Harbin
Precision Health Holdings
Lizzie is Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Precision Health Holdings, the strategic holding company uniting PCCA, Eagle Analytical and Wilcrest Pharma. She leads cross-entity strategic planning, facilitates critical conversations and ensures the right people are engaged at the right time to drive impact. In addition, she serves as the inaugural President of the RISE Institute for Compounding.

Beau Harger, PharmD
PCCA
Beau joined PCCA in January 2015 as a full-time clinical compounding pharmacist, after serving part-time for the previous year and a half. Many members will recognize him as a speaker and lab instructor from PCCA training events. Previously, Beau worked as a compounding pharmacist for 15 years, including 8 years as the pharmacist in charge of Nucara Compounding Pharmacy in Austin, Texas. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and taught pharmacology at William Carey College in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Katy Hecker, PharmD

Katy joined the PCCA Clinical Services team in 2024. A graduate of Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions in Omaha, Nebraska, Katy discovered her passion for compounding while working as a pharmacist intern at a specialty pharmacy catering to both human and veterinary needs. She has worked as a staff pharmacist, Pharmacist-in-Charge in retail and specialty compounding settings, and a Clinical Consulting Pharmacist for a medical practice. Katy is a Certified Health and Well-Being Coach and has special interest in veterinary pharmacy and women’s health.

Tricia Heitman, PharmD
PCCA
Since 2000, Tricia has been a full-time clinical compounding pharmacist at PCCA, assisting pharmacists in the US and Canada and speaking at PCCA symposiums. Tricia’s areas of interest include pediatric compounding (including autism treatment), women’s health, GI health and pain management. She is a University of Houston College of Pharmacy graduate and completed a PCCA PharmD Residency.

Catherine Henderson, PharmD

Before joining the PCCA Clinical Services team in 2023, Catherine operated a lifestyle medicine health-coaching practice in Alabama, where she consulted virtually with clients from across the country. Catherine’s passions include sharing her expertise in lifestyle-related illnesses and diseases to resolve complex health issues. She is a graduate of the McWhorter School of Pharmacy at Samford University.

Doug Hoey, RPh, MBA
National Community Pharmacists Association
Since 2011, Doug has served as CEO of the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), which represents nearly 19,400 pharmacy small businesses. He is a licensed pharmacist in Oklahoma, Virginia and Texas, and previously practiced in a variety of community pharmacy settings, including his own family’s pharmacy. Doug is widely quoted by media as an industry expert on community pharmacy practice issues.

Sara Hover, RPh, FAARM

Sara loves to educate pharmacists and physicians on a variety of topics including women’s health, hormone replacement and compounding options to improve patients’ lives. She joined the PCCA Clinical Services team in 2013 and is currently PCCA Senior Director of Clinical Services. Prior to working at PCCA, she spent 20 years practicing pharmacy as a PCCA member with 10 of those years as a pharmacy owner.

Dawn Ipsen, PharmD, FAPC, FACA, FACVP
Kusler’s Compounding Pharmacy & Clark’s Compounding Pharmacy
As pharmacist and owner of Kusler’s Compounding Pharmacy in Snohomish, Washington, and Clark’s Compounding Pharmacy in Bellevue, Washington, Dawn is a member of the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding and Washington State Pharmacy Association. She is also a Clinical Instructor for the University of Washington School of Pharmacy and an Affiliate Faculty Member for Bastyr University. Dawn received the David Sparks Advocacy Award in 2025.

Nat Jones, RPh, FAPC
PCCA
With a keen interest in research and educating others about dermatology, Nat has published articles in lay and professional journals, presented at conferences and authored an open-access eBook on psoriasis. He’s also an esteemed international speaker on various medical topics and a fellow in the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding. A VCU School of Pharmacy graduate, Nat owned a compounding pharmacy for 20 years before joining PCCA’s Clinical Services team in Houston. His greatest joy is being a grandparent to nine grandchildren.

Peter Koshland, PharmD

Peter opened Koshland Pharm in 2009 in San Franscisco and is known for his passion for speaking about health topics to both medical and general audiences. Peter also advocates for our industry, consistently engaging in dialogue about regulatory standards, quality assurance and patient care. In 2025, Peter was honored as PCCA’s USA Compounding Pharmacist of the Year.

Ranel Larsen, PharmD
PCCA
Ranel became a PCCA a clinical compounding pharmacist in 2014. Prior to joining PCCA, she worked in retail pharmacy for three years and then operated a compounding-only pharmacy for more than four years. Her areas of interest include HRT for men and women, veterinary medicine, pain management and dermatology. She is a graduate of the Roseman University School of Pharmacy.

Matt Lester, RPh, MBA, BCSCP

Before Matthew joined PCCA as a clinical compounding pharmacist in 2022, he was COO of Oakdell Pharmacy, where he specialized in infusion, long-term care, consulting and disease management. With a passion for patient care, Matthew is formerly a member of the NCPA Compounding Steering Committee and currently serves as a preceptor for pharmacy schools including The University of Texas College of Pharmacy, Duquesne and Xavier, among others. He also holds advanced certifications in sterile compounding and hormone replacement.

Madison Peach-Keen, PharmD, RPh

As a holistic prescribing pharmacist, Madison is driven by a passion for finding the root cause of chronic conditions and empowering her patients through education. With over a decade of dedicated experience in the field, she founded Peachy-Keen Health + Wellness, compounding pharmacy dedicated to personalized and functional medicine. Madison started her career in compounding as an educator at PCCA, after completing her studies at the University of South Carolina.

Laura Pfaffenberger, PharmD

With more than 20 years in compounding, including 13 years running her own specialty pharmacy, Laura now coaches and mentors pharmacy owners as PCCA’s Director of Business Solutions. She combines clinical expertise, business leadership and training in brain-based coaching from the Neuroleadership Institute to help clients grow their businesses and teams.

Bryan Prescott, PharmD, MBA
PCCA
As a key part of PCCA’s Business Accelerator team, Bryan provides financial benchmarking and analysis to help compounding pharmacies thrive in his role as Director of Business Coaching Services. He first joined in 2012 PCCA as a member of the Clinical Services team and transitioned to the Compounding Pharmacy Management Services (CPMS) team in 2015. He has spoken at many PCCA and A4M seminars on pain, wound and palliative care. Before coming to PCCA, he spent 10 years at Pharmcare in Pearland, Texas, as pharmacist in charge and long-term care operations manager.

Pamela W. Smith, MD, MPH, MS

Dr. Smith is the co-director of the Personalized Medicine Certification at The Morsani College of Medicine, University of South Florida. Senior Partner at The Center for Precision Medicine, Dr. Smith is an internationally known speaker and author of 16 best-selling books. She has been featured on CNN, PBS and many other television networks. Her newest book, How to Prevent Breast Cancer: Before and After, was published in July 2025. She is currently working on her next book, The Truth About Toxins and What You Can Do to Eliminate Them.

Jacob Sweet, PharmD, RPh
Elite Pharmacy
Jacob attended compounding courses at PCCA as Student Member and completed an APPE rotation at PCCA with Dr. Bindhu Batra. He participated in two entrepreneurial startup programs (and owned his first pharmacy) before graduating from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2022. Jacob co-founded Elite Pharmacy in Canfield, Ohio, which has expanded to five locations in Northeast Ohio, all focused on giving patients access to superior care and customer service. Beyond the pharmacy, he enjoys spending time with his wife Morgan, two fur kiddos (Zoey and Lola) and his family.

Bryan Ziegler, PharmD, MBA
Moss Compounding Pharmacy
The 2021 George Roentsch, RPh, New Innovator Award, Bryan is co-owner of Moss Compounding Pharmacy in Florence, South Carolina. He is also an adjunct clinical associate professor position with the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, teaching and mentoring pharmacy students in community pharmacy ownership, pharmacy management and implementing clinical services into the practice setting. Bryan completed an executive residency with the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA).

Celeste Zizzamia, PharmD, BCSCP
PCCA
With an extensive background in sterile compounding, Celeste joined the PCCA Clinical Services team in September 2023 after working as a compounding specialist at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, where she also helped supervise pharmacy operations and enforce standards for sterile and hazardous drug compounding. While with Connecticut Children’s, she participated in two pharmacy renovations including design, workflow, staff training and implementation for regulatory compliance in their sterile and nonsterile compounding labs. Board-certified in sterile compounding, she has also worked extensively with oncology nurses to ensure safety in using chemotherapy, as well as patient administration of hazardous drugs.
